Special Situations

It has been our experience that, for the most part, greater opportunities for our clients are found in building businesses and focusing our efforts on helping to create value in companies with which we are closely aligned. As a result, DPEC Partners does not on a regular basis seek out and/or pursue traditional public stock market investments.

However, from time-to-time we become aware of special situations (i.e. industry consolidations that may lead to mergers and takeovers, corporate reorganization, spinoffs etc.) in the public markets from our industry contacts and advisors. If we conclude that such situations present a particularly attractive opportunity, we may recommend the stock to our clients for whom such an investment would be suitable. Such recommendations would be based not necessarily on fundamentals or earnings, but on a short-term catalyst such as an anticipated event or announcement that has the potential to trigger an immediate positive effect on the company's share price.
