Management has over 30+ years of drug development experience and two of its founders are former FDA/ODAC members. AmpliMed is focused on the development of small molecules for the treatment of cancer. Their lead drug compound, Amplimexon, has been tested in over 400 patients as both a single agent and in combination. This drug works by utilizing a unique mechanization of action; it is a pro-oxidant. The drug has been tested in patients with pancreatic cancer, lymphoma, malignant melanoma, lung cancer, breast cancer, and prostate cancer. Currently the company is in the process of unblinding its Phase II Randomized Trial in metastatic pancreatic cancer and we should see those results in the first quarter of 2010.
