As a founding Partner and Managing Director of DPEC Partners, Mr. Stern has spearheaded DPEC’s investment activity and growth for over 7 years. His responsibilities include development and sales of ALGODON Properties’ luxury brand, its wine and winery, vineyards, luxury homesites and real estate. His expertise includes opening the private equity market to high net-worth accredited individuals, private and corporate accounts, and pension and profit sharing plans. Mr. Stern is a founding member of DPEC Partners’ wholly owned subsidiary InvestProperty Group, where he currently serves as Senior Managing Director. Mr. Stern is also a founding Partner and Managing Director of Hollywood Burger, a “Fresh Food, Fast!” restaurant concept currently under development in Argentina, Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. Early in his career, he spearheaded several startup entrepreneurial endeavors in the music, retail, printing, and painting industry. Mr. Stern continued with his entrepreneurial spirit in joining a small retail company, The Men’s Wearhouse, and held a 9 year management position, where his responsibilities included New Market Ventures and Client Relations. In that time, the company grew from just over 100 stores to roughly 500. Mr. Stern was instrumental in bringing the first stores into New York and successfully launched 5 stores before leaving. He is involved with the NFTE foundation, which teaches entrepreneurism and inspires young people from low-income communities to find their paths to success, the Humane Society, and the ASPCA. Mr. Stern attended Mesa College, Baruch College, and New York University and has a BA in Finance and Economics. He has lived and studied abroad in Florence, Italy at the Lorenzo De Medici School of Arts and Sevilla, Spain at the Instituto Internacional of Business. He is conversational in Spanish, and in his free time he is an avid outdoorsman, enjoys playing golf and traveling.
