Camilo Aldao
Bombal & Aldao Winemaker
Camilo Aldao hails from one of the oldest wine-making families in Argentina. In addition to operating, Bombal & Aldao, one of the country’s oldest wineries, he also owns and co-operates one of the country’s oldest Estancias, Finca Los Alamos, which now serves as a boutique hotel. In recent years, Mr. Aldao’s appreciation for fine Bordeaux inspired him to develop Argentina’s first personal barrel ownership program for others who might share his passion. He was moved to renovate the old estate cellar of the Bombal & Aldao winery, and subsequently oversaw a state-of-the-art modernization. Camilo began working in the family winery back in 1965, and now with over 43 years of experience in the winemaking business, he continues to implement his family’s tradition of craftsmanship that has been passed down from generation to generation.
